Geologist Maya finally returns to her village of Charo, reassuring its residents that the rumbling and tremors are from earthquakes. We find her and Mila eavesdropping on a conversation between CERN scientists about the folding of time. The children of Charo Elementary School go into the woods with their teachers on a field trip, but something unexpected happens that turns the picnic into a disaster.
