A certain Anton Diaghilev turns to Yana and Margosha, co-owners of the detective agency Two Parrots, for help. His ex-wife Nastya left for a monastery about ten years ago under strange and very mysterious circumstances. Nastya occasionally writes to her ex-husband. In one of her letters, she says that the abbess of their monastery has been killed. Anton, who reads between the lines, realizes that Nastya is very afraid of someone, and begs Yana and Margosha to start their investigation. A whirlpool of dangerous adventures leads the detectives to the disclosure of the legendary catacomb secret – the last consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Tikhon.
