There are very few science fiction writers in the world who have created their own worlds. The authors, whose dragons spit fire, and the knights, in response, shoot plasma from blasters, where the princesses master karate, and the warrior maidens are fragile and charming, where the famous Stanislav’s ‚I don’t believe!‘ Reigns – now the sea. And in order with a sinking heart to follow a couple of little weeds, who are on the shoulder to save whole kingdoms and countries, to know for sure that the Wolfhound is first of all the name of a mighty barbarian, and only then a breed of dogs – there are almost nothing of such creators. Mikhail Uspensky managed to create such a world. This All-Around is the land of dense forests, brave warriors and beautiful maidens. A world where you can meet the great underground Idrik-Serpent or play cards with the Water One if you wish. Where is the fabulous boy Zhiharka, the one whom the wicked witch tried to eat, has already grown up, and now everyone calls him Zhihar. And now Zhikhar the hero has to set off on a long and dangerous journey because of an accidental princely disfavor. He will have to withstand many battles and trials. But for that there is both valiant daring and heroic strength. And most importantly – faithful friends. The novel was written in 1995 and is already considered a classic of Slavic fantasy.
